What's in this guide

FLB Trend Shift calls trend changes two ways — a higher-timeframe adaptive breakout and a percent-reversal trigger — with on-chart arrows, a trend channel, and alerts. What it does

FLB Trend Shift is built to do one thing well: tell you when the trend has changed. It offers two engines — pick the one that fits how you trade. The HTF Breakout engine tracks a higher-timeframe adaptive trend line and flags breaks beyond it; the Percent Reversal engine triggers when price reverses a set percentage from its recent extreme. Both mark the shift on your chart and can alert.

Two engines, one job: Engine How it calls the turn HTF Breakout An adaptive higher-timeframe trend line; a break beyond its band flips the trend. Percent Reversal A fixed % pullback from the recent high or low triggers the shift — no timeframe guessing. "Don't argue with the turn — trade it." Trend Shift is a read-only chart indicator. It draws and alerts; it never places orders.

How to read it

Pick one engine, then trade the shift in the direction it calls — filtered by the regime. The signals — Up-arrow / trend-up — the engine has flipped bullish; favor longs. — Down-arrow / trend-down — flipped bearish; favor shorts. — Trend channel — the adaptive band frames the move; price riding the edge confirms strength. — Percent triggers — the horizontal lines show exactly where the next reversal would fire.

Choosing an engine Use HTF Breakout when you trade off a specific higher timeframe and want an adaptive, volatility-aware line. Use Percent Reversal when you'd rather define a turn purely by how far price has pulled back, independent of timeframe. A trend call is a direction, not a green light. Confirm with the Trade Shield regime (section 07) before acting.

Trade Shield comes first

Every FLB read is filtered through one gate first: the Trade Shield regime — the market's current permission slip: longs-only, shorts-only, or no entries. Trend Shift shows you the levels and the read. Trade Shield tells you whether you're allowed to act. Use them in that order, every time: — Regime says longs-only — act only on long-side signals. — Regime says shorts-only — act only on short-side signals. — Regime says no entries — stand down, even on a clean read.

A great setup in the wrong regime is still a coin flip. If the regime and the Trend Shift read disagree, the regime wins. Trade Shield is the first gate before acting on any FLB signal — it is built to stop you from fading your own system.
