Welcome to FLB EdgePulse

Is the whole market moving with you? FLB EdgePulse is the market-context oscillator of the FLB ecosystem. It reads momentum as a normalized wave — but its real edge is that it can overlay a second instrument's EdgePulse on the same panel. When you're trading NQ, you can see whether ES, the broader market, is pushing the same way. Momentum that's confirmed across correlated instruments is real; momentum on your chart alone is suspect.

On top of that, EdgePulse hunts divergence — when price makes a new extreme and momentum doesn't — and resolves combined signals into Confirmed, Primary-only, or Comparison-only so you know exactly how much agreement is behind a turn. THE CORE PRINCIPLE. A single instrument can fake you out; the market as a whole is harder to fool. EdgePulse asks not just is my chart moving? but is the broader market moving with it? Confluence across instruments is the signal; a lone chart is noise. Stop trading price. Trade value.

The Oscillator & the Comparison

Two waves on one panel. EdgePulse plots momentum as a wave that swings around a zero line — above zero is bullish momentum, below is bearish, and the distance from zero is the strength. That's the read for your instrument. The second layer is what makes it EdgePulse. The comparison asset Overlay any second instrument's EdgePulse (drawn in a contrasting blue) on the same panel. Trading NQ? Pull up ES, or the sector leader, or a correlated future.

Now you see both momentum waves together — and the question stops being "is NQ strong?" and becomes "are NQ and the market strong together?" Combined signals EdgePulse resolves the two waves into one of three signal states, so you never have to eyeball the agreement: Confirmed Both your instrument and the comparison asset signal the same direction. The highest-confluence read — the whole market is moving with you. Primary-only Only your instrument has signaled.

Momentum on your chart, not yet confirmed by the market. Lower conviction. Comparison-only Only the comparison asset has signaled. The market is moving but your instrument hasn't followed — a heads-up that it may be about to. signal while a higher-timeframe read holds. A signal means something changed, not that a condition is merely still true.

Divergence

When price and momentum disagree. EdgePulse's second job is divergence — the earliest warning a move is tiring. It scans price swings against the oscillator and flags where they pull apart, drawing the divergence line right on the panel. Bearish (magenta) Price makes a higher high but EdgePulse makes a lower high — the rally is making less momentum than it used to. The up-move is running out of fuel. Bullish (cyan) Price makes a lower low but EdgePulse makes a higher low — the sell-off is decelerating.

Downside pressure is fading. Divergence detection is tunable — swing sensitivity, how far back it scans, and the minimum swing it will consider — so you can make it as eager or as strict as the instrument needs. The defaults are tuned to catch meaningful divergences without flagging every wiggle. DIVERGENCE IS A WARNING, NOT A TRIGGER. A bearish divergence says the up-move is tiring — not that it's over. Use it to tighten stops, take partial, or stand aside from new longs — not to short blindly into strength.

Pair it with a Confirmed signal or an FLB edge for the actual entry.

The EdgePulse Setup

Trade momentum the market confirms. The bread-and-butter EdgePulse trade is a Confirmed signal — your instrument and the broader market turning together — taken at an FLB level, with no divergence warning against you. EdgePulse (your instrument) Comparison asset Long entry playbook Set your comparison Overlay the EdgePulse of a correlated instrument — ES for NQ, or the sector leader. Now you're watching two momentum waves, not one. Wait for a Confirmed signal Both waves turn up together — a Confirmed bullish signal.

The market and your instrument are moving the same way. A Primary-only signal is lower conviction; size it down. Check for divergence No bearish divergence printing against the move. If momentum is diverging while price pushes, the signal is hollow — stand aside. Gate it — Trade Shield + level Trade Shield allows longs, and the signal lines up with an FLB Buy Line or Key Level. Momentum plus structure plus permission. Enter, stop, manage Enter long on the Confirmed turn. Stop below the structure you entered against.

A bearish divergence printing later, or both waves rolling over, is your warning to tighten or exit. Short entry playbook Mirror it. Both waves turn down together for a Confirmed bearish signal no bullish divergence against the move Trade Shield allows shorts and price is at an FLB Sell Line or Key Level enter short with a stop above the structure, managing on the momentum waves and any divergence that prints.

When the Signal Fails

Reading momentum that doesn't confirm. Momentum across instruments is powerful, but it isn't infallible. Three patterns to read. Pattern 1 — Primary-only into the move Your instrument signals but the comparison asset doesn't follow. The market isn't backing the move — it's a lone-chart push that often fades. Take Primary-only signals small, or wait for the comparison to confirm. Pattern 2 — Divergence ignored You're long, both waves are up, but a bearish divergence prints.

Momentum is decelerating under the surface even though price hasn't turned. Traders who wait for the full roll-over give back the move. Tighten or take partial when divergence prints against you. Pattern 3 — Wrong comparison asset If your comparison instrument isn't actually correlated, its wave is noise, and "Confirmed" means nothing. Pick a genuine peer — the index your instrument tracks, or a tightly-correlated future. A bad comparison is worse than none.

CONFLUENCE IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE COMPARISON. "Confirmed" is only meaningful if the second instrument genuinely moves with yours. Choose a real correlate, respect divergence as an early warning, and remember the broader market's agreement is confirmation — not permission. Trade Shield still has the final say.

FLB Stack Integration

Where EdgePulse sits in the ecosystem. EdgePulse is the market-context tool. It answers is the broader market moving with me? — the cross-instrument confirmation layer that turns a single-chart read into a market-wide one. Is the broader market moving with my instrument? FLB Surge Is momentum aligned across timeframes on my chart? First Light Beacon Where is value, and is the edge holding? First Flat What just changed control? Trade Shield Am I fit to trade this setup?

Stacked A+ setups — Confirmed signal at an FLB edge — A cross-instrument Confirmed turn landing on a Buy / Sell Line — the market and the value level agreeing. Momentum plus structure. — Confirmed + Surge aligned — EdgePulse confirms across instruments while Surge confirms across timeframes — momentum agreement in two dimensions at once. — Divergence + Beacon rejection — A bearish divergence into an FLB Sell-Line rejection — momentum fading exactly where value caps.

A high-odds fade. — Confirmed + Key Level — The market turns with your instrument at a Prev Day extreme or session level — broad momentum at a hard reference.

Common Mistakes

How traders misuse EdgePulse and lose money. Trading Primary-only as Confirmed If only your instrument signaled, the market hasn't confirmed. Treating a Primary-only as a full signal is trading a lone chart — size it down or wait. Picking a bad comparison An uncorrelated comparison makes "Confirmed" meaningless. Choose the index your instrument tracks or a tight correlate — a wrong peer is worse than none. Shorting divergence blindly A bearish divergence says the up-move is tiring, not over.

Fading strength on divergence alone gets you run over. Wait for a Confirmed turn or an FLB edge. Expecting a stream of signals EdgePulse fires each combined signal once. If you're waiting for it to keep repeating, you've misread it — the one-shot is the design. Reading the oscillator as price Distance from zero is momentum strength, not a price target. Use it for agreement and divergence, not as a level. Forgetting Trade Shield Even a Confirmed signal against the regime is a no-trade.

Market agreement is confirmation; the regime is permission. Both, every time.

Final Word

From the desk of BH. FLB EdgePulse exists because no instrument trades in isolation. NQ moves with ES, with the sector, with the broad market — and momentum that's confirmed across those instruments is far more trustworthy than a wave on one chart. EdgePulse puts two momentum reads side by side so you can see the agreement, and flags divergence so you see the move tiring before price turns. It's opinionated about confluence.

It resolves agreement into Confirmed, Primary-only, and Comparison-only so you never guess how much is behind a signal. It fires each one once, because a signal should mark a change, not nag a condition. And it draws divergence on the panel, because getting out a little early beats getting out a lot late. The members who do well with EdgePulse share three habits. They demand Confirmed before full size. They pick a real comparison so confluence means something.

And they respect divergence as an early warning, not a short signal. REMEMBER. One chart can lie; the market is harder to fool. Trade the momentum the broader market confirms, heed divergence early, and let Trade Shield have the final word. Stop trading price.
